What is stored, and where
| What | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your display name and avatar | Your device. The name is copied to any crew you join. | So your crew knows who voted. |
| Your email address | Firebase Authentication, and only if you create an account. | To sign you in and recover the account. Crew members never see it. |
| Crew data: the list, votes, vetoes, ratings, chat and member names | Firestore, in one document per crew, addressed by the crew's invite code. | So everyone in the crew sees the same list and the same tally. |
| Your region and your Plotline streak | Your device. | Settings and the daily puzzle. |
| A Discord webhook URL, if you connect one | Your device, and the crew's document so other members can post too. | To post the ballot into your server. |
What is not collected
- No analytics and no tracking pixels. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording.
- No advertising identifiers. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
- No location, no contacts, no camera and no microphone.
- No payment details. Marquee is free.
Who can see your crew
A crew is addressed by its invite code. Anyone with the invite link can open the crew and see its member names, list, votes and chat. Treat the link like a house key and share it only with the people you want in the crew. If a link gets out, delete the crew and start a new one. That changes the code.
Other services involved
