A small Polish village saves the moors | DW Documentary

Since the 1980s, thatcher Alfred Smolczynski has been quietly renaturalizing the moor around his Polish village of Rozwarowo, work that now lets ornithologists hand-raise and release sedge warblers there. For a month each year, researchers feed the chicks every half hour until they can be set free, and the whole village turns out to watch them go.
