The Onion With Its Own Festival - Calçotada

Every January the Catalan town of Valls throws a parade, barbecue, and eating contest for the calcot, a sweet white onion grown by burying it in soil as it matures. A local farmer's blunt description of the vegetable as tasting like a cloud from heaven sets the tone for a film that takes its subject completely seriously.
