Guardians of the Gibbons: can India save its only ape species from extinction?

In Barekuri, a village in northeast India, farmer Mohit Chutia has spent decades looking after a family of hoolock gibbons, India's only ape species, alongside his own family, and researcher Ishika Ramakrishna joins him to study what that coexistence looks like as the species' habitat disappears. It is a portrait of one man's very specific, very long relationship with a group of animals most viewers will never have heard of.
