수업료(1940) / Tuition (Su-eop-ryo)

Based on a real schoolboy's prize-winning essay, this film follows a fourth grader whose parents peddle brass spoons door to door while his grandmother lies sick at home, leaving him unable to pay his own tuition. Help arrives from an aunt and, eventually, his classmates, in a quietly observed portrait of colonial-era poverty from 1940.
