Nakdong River

A young graduate returns to his riverside hometown and teams up with the local schoolteacher he loves to drag a stubborn village toward modern farming and schooling. It is an early-1950s enlightenment picture more interested in demonstrating community uplift than in romance, with the courtship mostly a vehicle for the film's real subject.
