King Gojong and martyr An Jung-Geun

As Japan forces Emperor Gojong off the throne, An Jung-geun leaves his school for the Russian Far East to raise armed resistance, then shoots Ito Hirobumi at Harbin station and argues the case for Korean independence from the dock. Jeon Chang-keun directs and co-stars, staging the assassination as the hinge of a national reckoning rather than a set piece.
