유관순 (1959) / Yu Gwan-Sun (Yu Gwansun)

At sixteen Yu Gwan-sun walked dozens of villages to bring them into the March 1st demonstrations, was arrested as a ringleader at the Aunae market rally, and went on organising from inside a Japanese prison until she was killed there. Yun Bong-chun's biography treats the short life as national martyrdom and does not soften the interrogation scenes.
