폭군연산(복수,쾌거편)(1962) / Tyrant Yeonsan ( Pokgun Yeonsan )

The second of Shin Sang-ok's two Yeonsan-gun films follows the king's revenge on the officials who destroyed his mother as it curdles into indiscriminate cruelty, with his consort's influence growing alongside it until a coup corners them both. He kills her with his own hands and briefly repents before losing the throne and being sent into exile, staged throughout as a widescreen costume tragedy about power turning to paranoia.
