아내들의 행진 (1974) / Parade of Wives (Anaedeul-ui haengjin)

A hardworking newcomer arrives in a poor, custom-bound village and starts by talking her husband's family out of an expensive traditional wedding they cannot afford, then keeps going. Im Kwon-taek follows her campaign to change the village's women one stubborn household at a time, in an early film made squarely in the spirit of the era's rural modernisation drive.
