병태와 영자(1979) / Byung-tae and Young-ja (Byeongtae-wa Yeongja)

Dumped and drafted, a student gets a surprise visit from his ex near the end of his service, then learns by letter that she is marrying a doctor while insisting she will never forget him. The rivals settle it with a footrace to her own engagement party, and the easy comic rhythm carries what could have been a bitter triangle somewhere much lighter.
