남부군(1990) / North Korean Partisan in South Korea (Nambugun)

A war correspondent absorbed into a North Korean partisan unit spends two years fighting, falling in love and slowly souring on the cause he is dying for in the mountains of the South. Adapted from Lee Tae's memoir, it follows the unit's retreat through the winter of 1951 into 1952, when hunger and manhunts finish what the fighting could not.
