A Hometown in Heart

A boy raised by monks after his mother abandoned him at the temple gate finds a substitute mother in a grieving widow, then loses his chance at a new life with her over a bird he killed to make her a feather fan. When his real mother finally visits without revealing herself, the boy works it out only after she has gone, and walks out of the temple to look for her.
