Four men who last stood together at Belorussky Station in 1945 meet again a quarter of a century later at the funeral of a fifth, and one long night in Moscow turns into an argument with the peacetime lives they have built. Andrei Smirnov lets the reunion curdle and recover in turn, and ends on Bulat Okudzhava's song sung straight.
