A carefree skateboarder takes a bizarre gig standing still in a city square for cash and, tempted by steadily rising pay, never leaves, even as his friends and a woman in danger try to pull him back into his old life. The fable plays as a deadpan comedy about the daily grind before landing somewhere much bleaker.
