Martha wakes up to an ordinary morning, only to step outside and find that everyone on Earth has vanished except her, so she wanders the empty city replaying her mother's last voicemail until she meets the one other person left alive. The story bends into existential-mystery territory before landing on an ending that recontextualizes everything that came before it.
